Henna from Hell Experience !

Back in Late October, I was wanting to color my hair without worries of color  damage. I have seen the YouTube videos of Henna.  I went to Atkins and purchase Henna, red color. If I knew my tub and sink would be clogged for 3 weeks, I would have never used it. I decided on one Saturday to start the process. First you have to mix it and let it sit cover in plastic wrap for 3-4 hours. I applied it to my hair like I would do the Betonite Clay. The smell of green tea grossed me out. I lefted it on my hair for hours. I rinse it out in my tub at first. Then I went into my kitchen sink. Omg this process was long and messy process. The results no change. I was not happy at all. My thoughts on Henna, I will not do again until I do further research. Later, I started to see  red tint in my hair. My thoughts: 2 hours for hair color vs 8 hours of Henna for hope of color change. I would suggest going to a professional! I want to thank 3 bottles of Drano for unclogging my tub!

  1. lol That has to be the worse color experience! It sounds really horrible. I also got in my head to color my hair but it was during the fall of last year that I did mine. I thought about the henna and even did research to find out the pros vs. cons. However, I decided it would probably be better to just go and get a professional to do it. I still spent time calling around to a lot of the Black salons trying to find someone who knew how to deal with natural hair (can you believe I found couple folks who had an idea lol---Pretty much the color story was a pretty stressful situation! Nevertheless, I was able to get my hair colored (permanent) and I have not had a problem!
